About Us
IAPO (International
Au Pair Organisation) has been arranging
au pair placements through its
international worldwide partners
for the last 9 years. Our aim
is to improve international
understanding of different cultures by promoting au
pair programs and solve child-care
problems for families by finding the right aupair for them.
For the time being, we are able to place au pairs
in families in the UK and USA only. We will start
to place au pairs
in families in Europe soon after we finalise
arrangements with our partner network in Europe.
IAPO provides a unique service and works in a different way from most
other
 companies and organisations as we
select our aupairs carefully and place them with
carefully screened families through our international partners.
This allows us to find the right au
pairs for the right families,
as we interview and check
the applications of both the families and
au pairs.
Background:
In 1986 the
International Cultural Exchange Program (ICEP)was launched as a non-profit-making organisation and started to send
aupairs to England and
then to the USA in 1991.
As an affiliate of
ICEP, IAPO carries out aupair placements in the UK. From 1996 till early
2004, IAPO placed more than 2,200 au pairs
in British families at no cost. Having experience of placing
au pairs in the USA and
UK, IAPO has now signed executive agreements with some of
the US Au Pair
organisations authorised by the US goverment.The agreement
allows IAPO to select local partners and send au
pairs to the USA
through its local partners in Europe and the rest of the world.
The US Au Pair exchange
program not only enables young people from
all over the world to spend a year in America as an
aupair, but also to study and travel around
the USA.
IAPO now has eighteen years of experience and is becoming the largest
and most successful au pair exchange program in the world. IAPO places
450 au pairs every year in the UK,
and plans to send 1200 au
pairs to
America from Europe, Asia and South America.
