Steps for Application & Placement Procedure

You should apply at least 1 month before you wish to depart for the United Kingdom.

STEP 1: APPLY ON LINE AND SEND YOUR APPLICATION FORM

STEP 2. IAPO LONDON UK RECEIVES YOUR APPLICATION
Your application is reviewed in London and if it is approved, we will send your application to our potential families.

STEP 3. FAMILIES CALL OR EMAIL YOU
Screened and approved host families gain access to au pair applications and home phone numbers/email addresses to interview applicants by telephone.

STEP 4. THE MATCH IS MADE
If you accept a match, you are mailed a complete host family application with Invitation Letter, IAPO Confirmation Letter and an au pair manual.

STEP 5. VISA APPLICATION (IF YOU REQUIRE)
If you are a national of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania or Turkey, you must get a visa from the British Embassy or Consulate in your country before you travel to the United Kingdom. Please get advice and help from our local partner.

STEP 6. TIME FOR DEPARTURE AND TRAINING
If your au pair visa is approved, please inform IAPO or our local partner about your arrival details. Please do not buy a ticket until we confirm with you that your host family is available to meet you at your arrival point. If you buy your ticket without our confirmation, we can not give you a pickup guarantee at your arrival point.
